House Red

We hope you enjoyed the extended weekend provided by the May bank holiday. We’re back at the St Harmonica’s this Friday, 10th May when the entertainment will be provided by the St Harmonica’s house bandHouse Red.

The backbone of St Harmonica’s Blues Club, House Red consists of Les Cole on drums, Dave Thomas on bass and vocals and Simon Bennett on keyboards and guitar. John Crowther plays lead guitar and gets the chance to make some noise rather than provide it on the sound desk for visiting bands and Chrissie Thomas gets a break from her duties on the door to provide lead vocals with a voice that has been likened to that of Ottilie Patterson. House Red deliver a vintage blend of material from soulful blues that will tug at your heart emotions to rocking shuffles that will have you tapping your feet and moving other body parts.

Support is provided by St Harmonica’s favourite sons Two Man JobSky Wood with Jesse Thomas who has returned unscathed from his epic Sand Raiders Dakar Rally motorbike ride through the Atlas mountains and sands of the Sahara Desert.

Two Man Job will play at 8.30pm followed by two sets from House Red starting just after 9.00pm. We hope to see you all there.
